German and International Physicists‘ tournamentsThe German Physicists‘ Tournament (GPT) is a competition where students have to work on open physics problems. At the tournament, a team presents their approach that that then is criticized by another teams, and has to be defended in a discussion. The GPT is the national qualification competition for the International Physicists‘ Tournament (IPT) where teams from all over the world discuss the different approaches. The GPT is supported by a network that is coordinated from Erlangen. Furthermore, in recent years, many of the GPTs took place in Erlangen or were organized from Erlangen. |
Study Service Center PhysicsThe Student Service Center (SSC) Physics serves as the first point of contact for almost all question concerning the studies of Physics in Erlangen. It is intended to support students, schools and prospective students. Michael Schmiedeberg from the Soft Matter Theory Group is part of the team of the SSC. |
